ADOPTABLE DOGS & PUPPIES

Kennel License #13561
PO Box 286 Schnecksville, PA 18078

Meet Star!

Star is a 3 year old Shihtzu who is searching for someone who is just as special as she is! Her back legs are paralyzed and she happily uses a wheelchair. She is trained to wheel herself to a pee pad to go potty. She LOVES to play fetch with her toys!

Meet Teddy!

Teddy is a 5 year old Mini Goldendoodle. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Teddy spent all of his years in a puppy mill, but thankfully he has been rescued and is ready for a new beginning. Teddy is still learning what life is like on the good side. He LOVES long walks, other dogs, is cat friendly, and is learning to trust humans.

A secure fenced in yard is required!– we will not consider applications with no fence. Teddy spooks easily and is considered a flight risk.

Meet Kia and Camry!

Kia and Camry are a bonded pair of pure bred Yorkies who are looking for a home together. Camry is 2 years old and 6 lbs, while Kia is 1 year old and 8lbs.

These boys are a bonded pair of pups and we are searching for a home that will open their hearts to both! They are the most loving and affectionate duo! They do well with other dogs, can be a little chasey with cats. Great with kids. A secured fenced in yard is required.

Both Kia and Camry are neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

Meet Aurora!

Aurora is a 5 year old mini Goldendoodle. She is a sweet, easy-going gal who does well with children, cats, and dogs. Aurora can be a little hesitant, and she needs a home that will allow her time to build her confidence.

Aurora is spayed, microchipped and up to date on all vaccines.

  2. I have some questions about Ray. Does he have SARDS? Does he use a Walkin Blind Dog Harness? I am interested in adopting him. Does he know basic Blind dogs commands or do I need to teach him? He is young enough to learn basic 1 word commands and live a happy life. I have application on file.

    1. Hi Deborah,

For more information about Ray, please message the foster who has posted him on Facebook, for the best up to date information. If you have not already, please fill out an application to start the approval process.

      Thank you! SOAR Volunteer

  6. why is it so hard to adopt a dog when there so many qualified and more than loving and pet friendly people who need a friend to help them with loneliness to have a friend to wake up to every day no wonder there are so many pets in rescue centers i am very frustrated i just want a friend

    1. Hi Diane, Have you put an application in with us for any in-particular available animal? If you haven’t fill out an application yet, that is the first step to finding you a great companion.

  7. I filled out 2 applications on fri. When will I hear anything? When will you be at petco so I can see these dogs?

    1. Please allow 5-7 days for a response from one of our volunteers. Once approved, a time will be scheduled for you to meet the dog you are interested in. Not every weekend are the dogs at Petco to meet them. I would suggest following SOAR Adoptables on Facebook to see who will be there week to week. Thank you!

  8. I filled out an application a week ago and never heard from anyone. I guess Misty was adopted because I don’t see her listed anymore. Is there a reason I never received a call?

    1. Hi Kathy,

Please understand that we get many applications and our rescue is fully volunteer based. We unfortunately don’t have the ability to call every single application we receive and ask to stay up to date on available animals on both our Facebook and website. Your application is good for 30 days if another dog comes along that catches your eye.

      Thank you!

  9. Looking to adopt 2 older dogs that do well with other dogs and kids. Looking for a weight of about 30-35 lbs. no pitbulls. We do not have cats. Please let us know if there are any options for adoption. Thank you, Ann Mitman

    1. Hi Ann, We do not have two older dogs at this time fitting your description. If you would like to fill out an application, they are valid for 30 days. That way, if we do have 2 older dogs you are interested in meeting, you already have an approved app. Thank you!

  10. I’m very interested in Rocky Balboa, Boston Terrier. I’ve adopted previously from SOAR. Our dog is now 4 y.o. I’ve submitted a new application. Do I come to Petco in Whitehall to see Rocky on Saturday 2/1/25? Thank you!

    1. Hi Bonnie,
Thank you for reaching out about Rocky! Your submitted application will be reviewed by our volunteers. Your application is good for 30 days. Once approved, a time will be scheduled for you to meet the dog you are interested in. Not every weekend are the dogs at Petco to meet them. I would suggest following SOAR Adoptables on Facebook to see who will be there week to week. Thank you!

  11. Hello.
I’m checking on when we can meet Rocky the Boston Terrier. Our application is in the system.
We adopted from SOAR 4 years ago. We have a Jack Russell mix.
    Than you.
    Bonnie and Frank Cullen.

  12. Hello, we recently applied for a puppy that had been adopted. Is our application still good for Luna or her sister?

    Thank you
