Hawkins
Hawkins is a 9-month-old Shih Tzu and was born with a mild form of Hydrocephalus (“Water on the Brain”). He loves to eat, run in the yard, play with toys, and be carried.
He has a predominant soft spot on the top of his head, so precautions have to be taken to ensure his safety (i.e. no large dogs in the home, crated when home alone, no rowdy children, etc.). He does not have a history of seizures, brain swelling, or aggressive behavior.
Hawkins is also hearing impaired. He may hear loud pitches, but it is very minimal. While he can see, he has no depth perception and would do best without stairs in the home. He does use the bathroom outside but is also pee-pad trained.
Despite his special needs, Hawkins is a very happy-go-lucky dog. He has the cutest head tilt and bobs his head while eating and drinking. When he’s really excited, he even runs in circles!
Hawkins is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped. A secure, fenced-in yard is REQUIRED.

Zoey
Zoey is an 8-year-old Chihuahua that has lived in a home with her sister Flo all her life. At no fault of their own, they both find themselves in need of a fresh start and new family. They came all the way from Alabama after losing their home due to their previous owner’s medical status.
Both Zoey and her sister are very sweet, happy pups. They do get along but are not overly bonded. They may be adopted into a home together or to a home as the only dog. They do not like to share their human’s lap with others! Nevertheless, they would be a great companion for a senior looking for a lapdog. They would also do best in a more quiet home with no children under 8.
Zoey is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, fully vetted, and recently had a dental.

Flo
Flo is an 8-year-old Chihuahua that has lived with her sister Zoey for as long as she can remember. The girls found themselves needing a new home after their previous owner’s worsening medical condition. They’ve traveled all the way from Alabama to find their happily ever after!
Flo and her sister are loving and joyous dogs. They are not overly bonded to one another and may be adopted together or as an only dog. They do not like sharing their human! They would be a perfect lapdog for a senior as well. They would both do best in a more relaxed home with no children under 8.
Flo is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, fully vetted, and recently had a dental.

Vito
Vito is an approximately 2-year-old Poodle Mix and weighs 12 pounds. He is an all-around sweet boy that gets along well with people and is okay with house cats. He can get a little excited when he meets new dogs. Vito is crate trained and walks well on a leash. He is also house trained.
Vito is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, dewormed, 4DX negative, flea treated, and microchipped.

Chase
Chase is a 4/5-year-old Mini Poodle. He is a puppy mill survivor ready to rewrite his story with the help of SOAR and you! He spent his life being used solely for breeding and never knowing the comfort of a caring home.
He is doing well with his house training, crate training, and has a sweet, gentle nature. Every day he grows braver and more confident as he slowly finds out that life can be fun, safe, and full of love.
Chase is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped. A secure, fenced-in yard and another dog in the home are REQUIRED. He would also do best in a quiet home with older children.

Sally
Sally is a 2-year-old Malinois/Shepherd Mix. In early October, she originally came to SOAR as a severely emaciated stray and faced a long road to recovery. She weighed only 36 pounds. Against all odds, she’s shown everyone what true strength looks like.
Today, Sally is thriving in her foster home. She’s traded survival mode for a life of pure joy. Her favorite things include loving on her foster family, learning how to be a dog with her male foster friends, soaking up the sun on the porch, and napping on a warm, soft bed to end the day.
Sally will need love, guidance, and patience in a calm atmosphere. Spoiling her with toys and treats is a plus! She does not need another dog in the home, but a male, submissive dog would be preferred. She does well with cats and kids older than 10. Malinois/Shepherd experience and a fenced-in yard are REQUIRED.
Sally will be available to adopt when she reaches her ideal weight in the next month or so. Applications are still being accepted!
